First of all, happy new year everyone! Only took me about a month to say that 🙂
Towards the end of 2016, we decided to make some changes which I knew was going to make the start of 2017 very interesting, and we haven’t been disappointed at all! It’s been busy busy busy! All in all, I’m super thankful for how everything has turned out and we’re already starting to reap the benefits of some of those changes…
I remember last year when I was so excited about Aj starting pre-school and wearing a uniform and then getting back into work from maternity and the school runs! All the things that could happen in a year…
Now, we’re doing it all again, getting Aj ready for new school again in a new town and once again there’s a lot to think about, to plan and prepare for…
I still can’t believe we moved down south! I talked so much about my doubts and uncertainity so it’s funny how I did a quick turn around. Sometimes life just presents you with an opportunity and you either grab it and run with it or dig your heels in and stand your ground…
All things considered, moving down south has been better than I expected. We decided to simplify a number of things which helped, however, come September it’s going to be interesting time again and I just pray it sorts itself out before we get there!
My little man turned 13 months last week! Wow!
Since he started walking it’s like there’s no stopping him! He is into everything and already knows how to throw a tantrum! My goodness, when he doesn’t get what he wants! I don’t know where I got kids which such a temper from! It isn’t me, honest!!
I was so looking forward to switching to cow’s milk when Junior turned 1! I won’t have to worry about buying formulae and we’d just carry on using the family milk – we would have to switch to full fat whole milk of course, because of him, but I wasn’t complaining about that!
Now, all my dreams have been shattered…
The first week of back to school was last week and we made it! It’s going to take some getting used to this routine, but I believe we’re in a good place. It also helps that I only have to go to work Monday mornings for now, so means I can get the hang of things pretty well before I increase my hours and officially resume next month!
This morning has been a bit emotional for me…
My little girl started pre-school nursery today! I know she been going to nursery since she was about 7 months but this is different, today she wore a school uniform… I had to hold back the tears.
My little boy also went to nursery today – for a full day session…
And to crown it all up, I went to work as part of my Keeping in Touch (KIT) (half) days.
It really has been one of those mornings, I’m ready to crawl back into bed and hide under the cover for the rest of the day! (more…)
My little man is 6 months old today! He is such a cheeky little man and can’t believe how much I love him to bits! It’s true what they say about the heart expanding when one has more kids! You don’t love one any less than the other… It’s truly amazing!
Once I found out I was pregnant again I knew a number of things were going to have to change, one of them was AJ’s childcare nursery. I was very nervous about this because I felt AJ had made friends there; she was going to parties and doing things in her class. She’d would even come home and talk about her friends in school so I was really torn about making the switch.
Meet Sammy the Bear, he is from AJ’s nursery and will be staying with us for the weekend… Fun times!
Sounds surprising/shocking? Well I would have been too but thanks to Peppa Pig, we know all about this! We watched an episode (video below) where ‘Teddy playgroup’ comes to visit Peppa’s family for the weekend and he sort of gets lost at the supermarket but thankfully they find him again.
